Ignition launches direct debit and digital wallet payments in New Zealand to end debtors in accounting and professional services businesses
New payment options make it even easier for accounting and professional services businesses to get paid and reduce debtors
Sydney, Australia, February 7th — Ignition, the leading revenue generation platform for accounting and professional services, now supports direct debit as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay in New Zealand, helping customers to get paid more easily to improve cash flow.
Having already made it convenient for clients to pay automatically using credit or debit card, Ignition is taking another step forward in facilitating smoother payment collections from the moment a client signs the proposal. The addition of direct debit and Apple Pay or Google Pay means that customers can now offer their clients more ways to pay to cater to clients’ payment preferences.
Xero’s 2022 Crunch report revealed the average small business in New Zealand gets paid 6.3 days late, costing small businesses $456 million annually.
“We’re excited to offer our New Zealand customers these new payment options,” said Dave New, Managing Director APAC at Ignition. “Expanding our payment options to include direct debit and digital wallet payments puts our customers in control of their client payments and gives them certainty they’ll get paid on time. This makes it even easier for them to collect payments from their clients once clients sign the proposal. In fact, over half (54%) of our customers report improved cash flow since implementing the Ignition platform – reducing financial stress and empowering them to focus on providing higher-value services to clients.”
The release of direct debit and digital wallet payment options in New Zealand follows a significant product investment in 2023, with a host of new and innovative capabilities that enable Ignition customers to maximize their revenue, profits and cash flow.
