Women in Accounting Awards to celebrate alumni and foster global community in 2025

New focus on alumni engagement through in-person meet-ups, virtual networking, and community-building initiatives

San Francisco, CA, February 10th — Ignition, the leading revenue operations platform for professional services, is thrilled to announce a transformative new chapter for the Women in Accounting Awards. In 2025, Ignition is focusing on celebrating the alumni and their contributions to the accounting profession while fostering deeper connections within the community. As part of this evolution, the recognition of new Top 50 honorees will now occur biennially, with the next awards taking place in 2026.

This year’s initiative is dedicated to giving back to the alumni, the remarkable women who have shaped the industry through their innovation, resilience, and leadership since the awards’ inception in 2018. To further support and empower these trailblazers, Ignition is expanding opportunities for engagement, including more in-person meet-ups and enhanced virtual connections throughout the year.

“The Women in Accounting Awards have always been about shining a light on remarkable women who drive industry change,” says CEO, Greg Strickland. “This year, we’re turning our focus inward to celebrate the incredible achievements of our alumni and deepen their impact within the global accounting community. By building stronger connections and creating opportunities for collaboration, we’re empowering our alumni to continue inspiring change and elevating the profession.”

Since its launch, the Women in Accounting Awards have garnered over 3,500 nominations from around the globe and honored 287 winners from 21 countries including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The awards have spotlighted women across public accounting, private industry, government, bookkeeping, and technology—creating a global network of change-makers united by their dedication to innovation and excellence.

To further strengthen the alumni community, Ignition is rolling out a series of programs in 2025 designed to foster collaboration and shared learning:

  • Increased In-Person Meet-Ups: Alumni will have more opportunities to connect face-to-face through regional and global events, building meaningful relationships and sharing insights that drive the industry forward.
  • Enhanced Virtual Connections: Leveraging technology, Ignition will offer more virtual platforms for alumni to engage, share stories, and support one another throughout the year.

“This year is all about amplifying the voices and impact of our alumni,” says Bronwyn Karaoglu,  Global Executive Vice President of Marketing at Ignition. “By fostering a community of past winners, we’re creating a legacy of leadership that will inspire future generations of women in accounting.”

As the Women in Accounting Awards evolve, Ignition remains committed to celebrating the incredible contributions of women in the industry and empowering them to create lasting change. We look forward to recognizing new Top 50 honorees in 2026 and continuing to honor the trailblazing women who have made these awards a hallmark of excellence in accounting.
